Partial Guarantees
CAF guaranties part of the credit risk of a client's obligation to a third party under the Partial Credit Guaranty (PCG) program, by using sureties and guaranties.
Likewise, CAF can guaranty the underwriting of fixed income securities by issuing agencies in the capital markets of the region. This approach seeks to attract new resources to the region and to encourage private funding sources to extend the terms of their loans, conditions that would otherwise not be available to customers.
Partial guaranties contribute to improve debt issue and loan ratings, and to shape structured trusts that support the development of capital markets in CAF's shareholder countries.
Partial credit guaranties are used to guaranty sovereign risk operations, and could be applied selectively to guaranty non-sovereign risk operations.
