Consulting for Readiness implementation in Panama
Readiness Program in Panama: Development of the National Climate Change Strategy 2018-2025, a GCF Country Program, NDA No Objection Procedure, Concept Notes, Assessment of Barriers and Opportunities and Participation of the Private Sector.
Interested companies are invited to submit a consulting services proposal for the implementation of the Readiness Program in Panama: Development of the National Climate Change Strategy 2018-2025, a GCF Country Program, NDA No Objection Procedure, Concept Notes, Assessment of Barriers and Opportunities and Participation of the Private Sector.
This consultancy is to be carried out as part of the Readiness program for Panama’s Green Climate Fund (GCF). CAF—development bank of Latin America—will administer these funds during the consultancy for Panama’s Ministry of Environment.
The goal of the consultancy is to build national capacities for climate management in Panama, through the development, consultation and dissemination of the following strategic documents:
- National procedures manual to issue no objection letters for national and regional initiatives seeking to access national and international climate-related funding (including the GCF).
- Development of Panama’s National Climate Change Strategy through an inclusive, participatory, and gender-sensitive process.
- Development of a country work program for the Green Climate Fund (GCF), through an inclusive, participatory, and gender-sensitive process.
- Preparation of Concept Notes for the GCF based on identified strategic funding priorities.
- Study for assessment of barriers and opportunities for private sector participation in investments related to national strategic priorities defined for adaptation and mitigation within the Country Program.
- Four conceptual notes to present to the GCF based on the strategic funding priorities identified in the Country Program.
Parties interested in this call must express their intent to participate by 6:00 p.m. Panama time on Thursday, February 14, 2020, by completing the process indicated in the document “Request For Proposals”
Companies that meet the aforementioned requirements will receive the terms of reference for the tender and information about the next key dates of the process via email by February 26, 2020.
CAF reserves the right to select the supplier that fulfills all requirements and is most qualified to meet its specific needs.
All participating companies will remain in the database as potential CAF suppliers and may receive notices regarding future calls for proposals.
