Sports for Development International Forum | SOMOS muchos, seamos más
On September 29th, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, through its SOMOS initiative, Sports Network for the Development of Latin America, organized the Sports for Development International Forum | SOMOS muchos, seamos más (We are many, let us be more), with the support of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogota.
Sports organizations, social enthusiasts, and members of the public and private sectors will meet in Bogota to exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices for sports projects as tools for development.
Other objectives of the forum include:
- Highlight the participation of the private and public sectors in the promotion of sports for development.
- Provide scientific testimony of soccer as an effective tool for inclusion and social development.
- Share the achievements and results of SOMOS throughout its 12 years of experience.
SOMOS, Sports Network for the Development of Latin America, has been supporting sports in the region for 12 years, benefiting more than 78,000 children and youths, and establishing solid relationships with 27 local and international partners.
"SOMOS muchos, seamos más" (We are many, let us be more) is the recognition that even if those working to promote equity and social inclusion for vulnerable children and youths in the region are many, we must continue recruiting volunteers and scoring goals that lead to development.
