Award for entrepreneurial women in Paraguay who transform their kitchens and bathrooms
More than 700 families participate in the 2016 edition of the Contest "My bathroom, my kitchen, my pride", an initiative that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit of women in Paraguay as a key factor to improve the quality of life of thier families
The contest encourages families to mobilize to transform their reality, establish goals that are possible, and achieve their dream: have first class kitchens and bathrooms. This competition also promotes empowerment and the sense of belonging of family groups and communities.
By means of this contest, the Fundación Paraguaya and CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, through its Social Innovation Initiative, have established a strategic alliance to promote awareness and education among families in vulnerable communities, regarding the need to improve sanitation and health standards of their homes, as well as their role as agents of change to increase their quality of life.
The award ceremony will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, on November 3rd, and will include the participation of Ana Mercedes Botero, CAF's Director of Social Innovation. There will be 24 finalists at a national level, and 2 winners who will receive awards for their efforts.
