Over the last decade, Latin America has furthered important innovations in digital transformation of the State, which have focused on digitizing government, streamlining procedures, expanding digital services, and opening data to facilitate the transition from an e-government to a digital government. This new paradigm calls for placing citizens at the core of public policy.
The digital revolution is a key component to making States more agile, open and innovative. In this context, the provision of public services and citizens’ quality of life can be enhanced through the use of digital technologies. For this purpose, significant changes are required in administrative processes, which ensure the operation across systems of different institutions and levels of government.
