Dialogues for peace: The voice of Latin American Nobel Prize laureates
We invite you to participate in a dialogue on the challenges of our region with the three Nobel Peace Prize winners from Latin America: Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Rigoberta Menchú Tum and Juan Manuel Santos.
The voice of our three Nobel Peace Prize winners from Latin America,Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Rigoberta Menchú,and Juan Manuel Santos, will resound at the 77th UN General Assembly in New York, during our meeting "Many voices, one region: America Latin America and the Caribbean working together on the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development".
In this event, the three personalities will share their perspective on the various challenges our region is facing in terms of human rights, development, climate change, among other issues, we reinforce our commitment to consensus, dialogue and the ability to work together under one voice and one region: Latin America and the Caribbean.

Sergio Díaz-Granados has extensive experience in public and private service, both nationally and internationally, with special emphasis on regional development and integration issues. Before assuming the presidency of CAF, he served as Executive Director for Colombia at the Inter-American Development Bank. He previously held the positions of Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, Vice Minister of Business Development and President of the Boards of Directors of Bancóldex and ProColombia. He also has been a congressman and chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Colombia’s House of Representatives.

(Argentina) has been President of Argentina since December 10, 2019. Previously he held the positions of director of Summaries/ Proceedings and deputy director-general of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Economy during the presidency of Raúl Alfonsín, superintendent of Insurance between 1989 and 1995, and was the founder and first executive vice president of the BAPRO Group between 1995 and 2000. In August 2000, he was elected legislator for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. On May 25, 2003, he assumed as chief/head of the Cabinet of Ministers. Fernández has a degree from the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires.

Profesor, escultor y pintor argentino. Fue galardonado con el Premio Nobel de la paz en 1980, destacado como defensor de los derechos humanos y del derecho de la libre autodeterminación de los pueblos.
Fue miembro del comité ejecutivo de la Asamblea Permanente de las Naciones Unidas sobre Derechos Humanos. Ha tenido una presencia constante en las luchas de los pueblos por su liberación, convirtiéndose en un símbolo en América Latina, por su compromiso, lucha y acciones, por esto su voz es respetada tanto en el continente como en otros países. Contribuyó con numerosas misiones internacionales conflictos en Sudáfrica, Afganistán, Oriente Medio y Tíbet, entre otras

Nacida en Guatemala. Lideresa social, activista, dirigente política, escritora y guía espiritual, que ha trabajado incansablemente en la defensa y reivindicación de los derechos de las mujeres y de los pueblos indígenas y ha tenido una trayectoria extraordinaria en los procesos de diálogo de paz en la región.
Es fundadora y Presidenta Vitalicia de la Fundación Rigoberta Menchú Tum, desde donde desarrolla iniciativas en los ámbitos de la educación, seguridad alimentaria, los derechos humanos y la justicia, a favor de las poblaciones más desfavorecidas.
Con el apoyo de líderes y lideresas de Pueblos Indígenas de América Latina y del mundo, promovió en la Organización de las Naciones Unidas la proclamación del Año Internacional y la Declaratoria de los dos Decenios de los Pueblos Indígenas. Es fundadora del partido político Movimiento Político Winaq, es Vice Presidenta de la Asociación “Menchú Tum, Hacia Una Cultura de Paz, A.C. con sede en México, miembro activa y fundadora de la Iniciativa de Mujeres Premio Nobel de Paz, miembro activa de la Fundación PeaceJam, miembro activa del Consejo Nacional y fundadora de la Asociación Política de Mujeres Mayas de Guatemala MOLOJ e Investigadora Extraordinaria y Titular de la Cátedra Extraordinaria “Rigoberta Menchú Tum” en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México – UNAM-.”

Político y economista colombiano, expresidente de la República de Colombia. Fue ministro de Comercio Exterior de César Gaviria, ministro de Hacienda de Andrés Pastrana Arango y ministro de Defensa de Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Actualmente es profesor en la Escuela de Gobierno John F. Kennedy de la Universidad de Harvard y Miembro de la Junta de la Fundación Rockefeller.
Durante su mandato como presidente de Colombia, inició acercamientos a las FARC-EP con el fin de terminar la confrontación más importante del conflicto armado interno colombiano. Los diálogos de paz iniciaron en 2011 y el 24 de agosto del 2016 las delegaciones anunciaron que llegaron a un acuerdo final, integral y definitivo. En 2016 recibió el Premio Nobel de la Paz "por sus decididos esfuerzos para llevar más de cincuenta años de guerra civil en el país a su fin".

Christian Asinelli is a political scientist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), has a Master's degree in Public Administration and Policy from the Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA) and postgraduate degrees in Urban Economics (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella) and in Sociourbana Management (FLACSO). In 2019, he received his Ph.D in Political Science from the National University of San Martín (Argentina).
During the last sixteen years he has been appointed in different roles in the public sector and the international arena: Alternate National Director of the State Modernization Project at the Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nation (2005); Deputy of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (2007-2010); Undersecretary of Evaluation of Projects with External Financing of the Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nation (2011-2014); Corporate Director of Institutional Development of CAF (2014-2017); President of the Fundación Banco Ciudad (2019) and Undersecretary of International Financial Relations for Development, Secretariat of Strategic Affairs, Presidency of the Nation. He was a Fellow of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program (2010), the Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies-MIT (2011) and the Singularity University Executive Program (2017). He is the author of the books Buenos Aires: The city we have, the city we want (Buenos Aires, 2009); Modernization of the Argentine State: policies, management and professional scene (Buenos Aires, Edition, 2015) and Financing Development: The role of multilateral banking in Latin America (Buenos Aires, 2021).
