Galeria CAF: Vertiente del Sur exhibition opens

In a homage to Uruguay and the Constructivist School founded by Joaquín Torres-García, the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) today announced the opening of the exhibition Vertiente del Sur, Constructivos en el Trópico, Montevideo-Caracas, (Southern Slopes, Constructivism in the Tropics). The show offers works by outstanding artists who have assumed the legacy of this innovative maestro of the universal plastic movement.
Vertiente del Sur, Constructivos en el Trópico, Montevideo-Caracas will be open to the public until November 9 this year. The exhibition contains works by Julio Alpuy, Gonzalo Fonseca, Francisco Matto, Anhelo Hernández, Jonio Montiel, Alceu and Edgardo Ribeiro, Manuel Pailós, José Gurvich, Augusto and Horacio Torres, Elsa Andrada and Héctor Ragni, several of them students of maestro Torres-García. The opening hours are 9 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday and 11 am to 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
