The scenario imposed by the appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic has generated situations of unprecedented complexity for education systems in Latin America and the Caribbean, such as the interruption of face-to-face education, asymmetries in access to digital platforms and technological equipment necessary to guarantee the continuity of education, limited teaching capacities to deal with virtuality, among others.
In this context, and with the inadequate conditions to face the situation, governments oriented educational actions to reduce existing gaps in both digital and pedagogical matters.
This second roundtable will address the dimension of skills and competencies development in the field of computer sciences from the discussion of the curricular approach, the development and use of tools and contents and the training of teachers, managers and educational management teams. The cases of Program.AR, the Ministry of Education of Chile and Omar Dengo Foundation of Costa Rica will be analyzed.
