World Water Week

CAF will act as Key Collaborating Partner at the most important annual event on water issues globally: The World Water Week.

The city of Stockholm will host the World Water Week 2017 an event that will gather key actors working in the theme of global water management. Participants will meet in order to discuss and exchange ideas, foster new initiatives and propose solutions to the most acute water challenges today.

This year, over 370 organizations and 3200 people coming from 133 countries will contribute to 238 sessions in total.

The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) has chosen CAF - Development Bank of Latin America, alongside other key partners in the water sector asKey Collaborating Partnerfor the edition this year.

Acting under this new role, CAF will be co-organizing the following scientific seminars:

-         Water in the Circular Economy: opportunities and challenges, along with the Rockefeller Foundation and the World Resources Institute.  

-         Financing wastewater treatment and resource recovery, in coordination with the International Water Management Institute and 2030 Water Resources Group

Additionally, CAF will also participate in the following events:

-         Seminar on Governance of water and waste: a key to sustainable development?

-         Eye on LAC (seminar focused on Latin America and the Caribbean): Fostering a Wastewater Treatment Revolution, and also on What is new on wastewater reuse financing?
