CAF appoints Rodrigo Peñailillo as new Colombia representative

The Executive President of CAF—development bank of Latin America—, Sergio Díaz-Granados, appointed Chile’s Rodrigo Peñailillo as the bank’s new representative in Colombia, who will be entrusted with continuing to support the nation’s development plans to improve the quality of life of all Colombians.
Peñailillo boasts an extensive professional experience, serving in senior positions in the public administration in Chile, including Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Chief of Staff in the Presidency of the Republic and Provincial Governor in the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security. Since 2021, he has served as a consultant to CAF’s Corporate Vice President of Strategic Programming.
His qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the American University, USA, and in Political Analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. In the academic field, he has been a student advisor at American University. , a volunteer lecturer at the Global Language Network; and has also participated in numerous international conferences and presentations.
