We visited customs posts in border areas and held productive meetings with key stakeholders from the public, private and sub-national sectors, in an effort to continue creating synergies in favor of the revitalization of bi-national trade relations.
A delegation from CAF—development bank of Latin America—, led by Marisol Barrera, Senior Advisor to the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Programming, and Nathalie Martínez, Senior Executive at the Country Office, together with representatives and members of the Venezuelan-Colombian Economic Integration Chamber (CAVECOL), visited the Colombian-Venezuelan border area in the state of Táchira, on the Venezuelan side.
The CAF-CAVECOL delegation visited the main customs office in San Antonio del Táchira, the subordinate customs office in Tienditas, the Peracal checkpoint, and the Simón Bolívar and Atanasio Girardot international bridges in Tienditas, where they held productive meetings with key stakeholders from the public, private and sub-national sectors, and pledged CAF to provide the best support to the revitalization of relations at the border.
CAVECOL is a non-profit Civil Association that has stimulated and fostered the exchange of goods and services between Venezuela and Colombia for over 40 years, while supporting Latin American integration efforts. It boasts a wide network of relationships with trade union, business, and academic organizations as well as public authorities both in Venezuela and Colombia.
