Everything you need to know before applying to create the Regional Brand of Latin America and the Caribbean

You have until April 26 to apply for the CAF call, which aims to create the Regional Brand during a bootcamp in Brazil. The winning team will take home $20,000 and the privilege of being the creator of the brand representing Latin Americans and Caribbeans around the world.

Everything you should know about the Regional Brand call

CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean- invites designers, creatives and advertisers to apply for the call to create the Regional Brand, which will represent Latin Americans and Caribbeans around the world.

You can register individually or in groups of up to five people. If you are part of a team, designate a representative to make the application. Adults with a higher education degree, whether university or technical, from any field, can register. Registration as a company or as an independent is also possible.

Steps to Register by April 26

  1. Visit https://www.caf.com/en/specials/brand-region/apply/ 
  2. Complete the form with your details and attach the necessary documents via a Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox link. Make sure these links are public so that they can be accessed by the jury.

Requested Documents

  1. Data processing agreement signed by each team member. You can download this document from the same page.
  2. A motivation letter introducing your team.
  3. Resumes of each member to verify experience.
  4. Portfolios of each member.

About the Trip to Brazil

After the application, the jury will select the 5 most talented teams from the region to participate in a bootcamp, which will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from May 12 to 15, 2024. Air tickets, accommodation, and daily allowances for the 5 selected teams will be covered by the contest organizers. Teams of more than two members may send a maximum of 2 delegates to the bootcamp.

Once in Brazil, the 5 selected teams will carry out the conceptualization and development of the logo, slogan, as well as at least 5 reference pieces where the proposal is applied. The award ceremony and selection of the winning team will take place on May 15, 2024, in São Paulo.

Mercosur countries do not need a passport

Participants residing in Mercosur countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela) do not need to have a valid passport. If selected, their national ID card is valid for entry into Brazil.
