Real Madrid Foundation and CAF will promote socio-sports education and inclusion projects in Bolivia and Colombia

CAF and the Real Madrid Foundation will work as allies in socio-sports schools in Bolivia and Colombia to promote the social integration of boys, girls and young people.

The executive president of CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, Sergio Díaz-Granados, was received today by Florentino Pérez, president of the Real Madrid CF and his Foundation in Real Madrid City. Both presidents have signed an agreement to promote sports, education and social support through socio-sports schools developed by the Foundation in Bolivia and Colombia.

In these projects, mixed activities will be carried out that promote gender equality, the positive values ​​of team sports, and especially the integration of migrants and returnees. CAF's support aims to promote growth and regional integration through sport, generating a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in Bolivia and Colombia.

Accompanying Florentino Pérez, the Club's Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, said that “for us it is a great pleasure to collaborate with CAF again in America, since our first alliance was very beneficial for thousands of boys and girls years ago and , now it will once again improve the lives of more than 2,000 socially disadvantaged minors.”

For his part, Sergio Diaz-Granados wanted to emphasize the necessary sustainability of these programs: “Investments in sports are key to social integration and inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean, since they link children and young people with lifestyles. healthy and with values ​​that today we need more than ever, such as solidarity, gender equality, the spirit of improvement or respect. "Our alliance with the Real Madrid Foundation will allow, through the best of football and basketball, to expand these values ​​to more and more countries in the region."

The signing of the agreement is framed in the policy of strategic alliances that CAF, one of the main financiers of development projects at the regional level, is carrying out to strengthen its role as a promoter of sports initiatives and activities that promote social development and integration of Latin America and the Caribbean. In Bolivia they will also work with one of CAF's shareholders, Santa Cruz Mercantile Bank.

The Real Madrid Foundation is a non-profit organization that works for the cultural and social development of the most disadvantaged through sport. It seeks to promote the comprehensive education of children and youth, as well as social inclusion, through training, sports, cultural, and institutional activities.
