With the objective of strengthening collaboration in urban infrastructure planning and development, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and International Enterprise Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work in the construction of capacities, facilitate exchange of knowledge and best practices, and contribute in sustainable development projects in the region.

Enrique García, CAF's Executive President, and Teo Eng Cheong, Executive President of International Enterprise Singapore, signed the agreement in the framework of the 2015 Asia-Latin America Business Forum, which promotes investment, trade, and leadership between Asia and Latin America.

Highlighting the importance of the agreement, Enrique Garcia stated, "Singapore is a very important ally for the region. This agreement strengthens the relationship with International Enterprise Singapore (IE) and gives us the opportunity to promote trade and investment opportunities, as well as to share experiences and exchange knowledge regarding public policies for the sustainable development of the Latin American region".

At the same time, while mentioning investments in infrastructure as potential opportunities, Teo Eng Cheong pointed out, "Even during these difficult economic times, there are still opportunities that companies in Singapore may explore and analyze with adequate support and knowledge".
