Bilateral agreement promotes multi sectorial and strategic agenda in Sao Paulo

CAF and the Mayor's Office of Sao Paulo formalized a Memorandum of Understanding to promote programs and projects that will help explore strategies for social and economic development

With the purpose of promoting urban mobility programs and projects, strategic urban planning, sustainable development, education, health, institutional strengthening, and the environment, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and the Mayor's Office in Sao Paulo formalized a Memorandum of Understanding. 

"For CAF the search of cooperation mechanisms with institutions such as the Mayor's Office in Sao Paulo is essential in order to facilitate the expansion of capacities, the use of opportunities, and the promotion of initiatives that involve equality and social inclusion that generate sustained, sustainable, and quality growth for the comprehensive development of the region", expressed Enrique Garcia, Executive President of CAF. 

Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, and the Mayor of Sao Paulo, Fernando Haddad, signed the Memorandum of Understanding that seeks to stimulate a multi-sectorial and strategic agenda that aims towards access and exchange of knowledge, information, technologies, best practices, research, and the institutional strengthening of the state of Sao Paulo in order to promote the development of strategies for social and economic development. Victor Rico Frontaura, CAF's Director Representative in Brazil was present during the signing of the agreement. 

Through this Memorandum of Understanding, CAF promotes sustainable development and offers comprehensive support to the productive and social sectors of Latin America.
