Cámara Nacional de Industria de Bolivia (Bolivia's National Chamber of Industry) recognizes CAF's work

The international financial entity was recognized for its support to the Bolivian entrepreneurial sector

The National Chamber of Industry of Bolivia  (CNI, for its acronym in Spanish) awarded CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, with the Medal for Industrial Achievement for Distinguished Services, by decision of the Special Commission of the Great Order (Comisión Especial de la Gran Orden) of this institution, which groups and represents private manufacturing Bolivian entrepreneurs.

In its eighty-fifth anniversary, the CNI awarded the medal in recognition of the support provided by the financial institution during several years, materialized in non-reimbursable cooperation that enabled the advance of the entrepreneurial entity toward its main objectives. 

Emilio Uquillas, CAF's Director Representative in Bolicia, received the award, which symbolizes the organization's highest recognition.

Uquillas stated "On behalf of Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, I thank this important recognition granted by the Bolivian industrial sector, which encourages us to ratify the commitment to support the initiatives of all the actors of development - state, private sector, academia, and the civil society. The work carried out with the CNI is framed within the institution's agenda, which includes productive transformation as an essential element to promote growth in its member countries and achieve sustainable, sustained and quality development". 

The ceremony was held in the Casa Grande Hotel in the city of La Paz, with the attendance of authorities from the national, regional, and municipal governments, representatives from the entrepreneurial and financial sector, and the media. 

The CNI is a private non-profit institution, which provides services that promote the development of the industry and the entrepreneurial community in Bolivia for the generation of resources, sustainable employment, and improvements in the country's quality of life. It seeks to lead, represent, and be recognized at a national and international level for its contribution to the development of the industrial sector, the entrepreneurial sector, and society as a whole.
