CAF will reach 35% green financing in 2024

With the purpose of promoting activities aimed at contributing to integration and sustainable development in the region, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and the Tecnologico de Monterrey, signed a cooperation framework agreement to promote training, generation of knowledge, and applied study and research among academics, and training for public policy managers.
Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, stated "This agreement with the Tecnologico de Monterrey is very important because it will allow us to strengthen the exchange, research, and generation of knowledge for and about Mexico and Latin America. He highlighted the importance of making significant advances in public policies that increase productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness, to achieve a better performance of the diverse sectors, thus promoting a transformation that leads to an improvement in the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.
Alejandro Poire, Dean of the School of Governance and Public Transformation of the Tecnologico de Monterrey, highlighted that the alliance between these two institutions will enable the generation of knowledge that will be applied to the development of solutions to the most important public problems of our country and Latin America, in addition to training human capital of excellence based on academic quality.
The subscribed agreement foresees the coordination of research activities, exchange of information, organization of events, joint publications, and other mechanisms agreed upon by the parties in areas such as: care, preservation, and rational and sustainable use of water; training for public policy managers; citizen safety; education and information on trainers, promotion of productivity and competitiveness based on entrepreneurship; prospects of the environment; competitiveness, regional development; and clusters.
In addition, CAF and the Tecnológico de Monterrey signed an agreement to support the implementation of the Seminar of Exponential Technological Change, which will include a serious, wide, and productive conversation regarding the challenges and opportunities for Mexico and the world, resulting from the acceleration of technological change in areas such as artificial intelligence, nonotechnology, robotics, and telecommunications, among others.
This forum will allow for the development of solutions that not only bring wellbeing to the communities, but also make this information accessible for citizens.
