(Caracas, October 10, 2013). A delegation from the British Embassy and the UK Trade & Investment Aid-Funded Business Service from the Ministry of Trade and Investments in the UK (UKTI), visited CAF's headquarters in Caracas and the office in Trinidad and Tobago, with the purpose of providing continuity to the Joint Cooperation declaration with the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in August of 2012, which includes the promotion of projects and initiatives in education and infrastructure, among other priority and strategic areas for the parties involved.

During the meetings held in Caracas and Trinidad & Tobago, the British representatives learned about the initiatives implemented by the multilateral organization in alliance with the public and private sectors in the countries of the region, and reiterated their interest in working with CAF to strengthen cooperation and integration with Latin America.

The agreement included, among other things, exchange of experiences and information regarding diverse projects in the region, to facilitate the joint cooperation and the possibility of creating a fund/program between CAF and the United Kingdom, and the implementation of fora, seminars, and meetings to promote the development of projects of mutual interest.

During February 11 and 12 of this year, the government of the United Kingdom carried out a seminar in London with the objective of presenting CAF to entrepreneurs and British institutions interested in strengthening their ties with Latin America.
