Evaluation Week 2018 (June 4-8) aims to create synergies between the government sector, civil society, the academic community and all stakeholders involved in fostering transparent monitoring and evaluation systems, to create a forum that favors dialogue on evaluation issues.

Evaluation Week 2018 (EVAL2018) is organized by the Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Latin America and the Caribbean (CLEAR LAC) and another 15 organizations, including CAF -development bank of Latin America. It will serve as a meeting point to create forums for research and discussions on the importance of monitoring and evaluation for continuous improvement of public policies and programs in Latin American and Caribbean countries.
EVAL2018 welcomes organizations from the public sector and civil society from countries in the region to submit proposals for activities and discussions, including seminars, conferences, round tables, project submissions for assessment of public policies and programs, presentation of publications, courses, and workshops, among others. Over 190 activities have been proposed by 200 institutions already this year. It is worth noting that last year’ edition (EVAL2017) included 90 organizations in the public sector and civil society conducting over 160 activities in 15 countries in the region.
For 2018, Assessment Week will be held on June 4-8, and will feature a wide variety of topics, mainly focused on improving governance, capacity building and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned in evaluation and monitoring.
The strong response to the 2018 call is a sign of the interest by the different social sectors in better interventions that meet current demands, to ensure more relevant, effective and efficient policies.
