During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Carranza assured that the new offices reflect CAF’s vision of working for the development of countries with a focus on the quality of life of all residents.

“More than a development bank, CAF is a partner in the development of countries, and we have had a long history of working with, supporting, and solving different situations in Ecuador in over 50 years. We have worked from day one with the same enthusiasm and commitment,” Carranza said.

Daniel Rivera, CAF’s representative in Ecuador, noted that the new facilities will be protagonists and witnesses to CAF’s continued support for Ecuador. “We expect these office to become a common venue for ideas, a space from where we can contribute to the realization of the dreams and aspirations of Ecuadorians.”

In addition, the Minister of Finance congratulated the entire CAF management and noted that the inauguration reflected the progress, positioning and contribution made by the multilateral entity over the years and especially in 2020, which has helped mitigate the impact of the crisis caused by the pandemic. “CAF’s role has been critical in all areas and must remain an institution that helps meet social, economic and environmental goals of member countries, strengthening its contribution and role both in the region and internationally.”

CAF’s new offices accommodate 49 positions laid out in an open space configuration, as well as private offices, a videoconferencing room, conventional meeting rooms and spaces for collaborative work and innovation. In terms of technology, the office boasts modern access control systems, CCTV, lighting and air conditioning control, as well as fire fighting systems interconnected with the building’s security center.
