CAF president Enrique García expresses his condolences on the death of Salvador Lluch

(Caracas, November 22, 2012). - Enrique García, Executive President of CAF -development bank of Latin America-, expressed his heartfelt condolences in a letter sent today to the family of Salvador Lluch. "Chile and Latin America today mourn the loss of one of their most illustrious citizens, who at all times demonstrated his strong belief in democracy, inclusion and social justice.”

Salvador Lluch was a founding member of CAF in the late '60s and made important contributions to building an increasingly prosperous future for Latin America, while serving in the government of his country and in various regional organizations.

In the letter, Enrique García highlighted the importance of Lluch’s contributions. "The best tribute we can pay to his memory is to further develop his legacy to strengthen the integration of our nations, based on the cornerstones laid by him and a group of visionaries, and for which Latin America will be eternally grateful."
