CAF program review mission visits Bolivia

(La Paz, April 06, 2009).- In recent days, a special mission from the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), formed by the vice presidents of Country Programs, Infrastructure, and Social and Environmental Development together with the director of Governance and Technical Cooperation, visited Bolivia to identify on the spot the best possibilities for cooperation in the economic and social development of the nation.

CAF director-representative in Bolivia, Emilio Uquillas, said the multilateral organization planned to offer support through important public and private investment projects, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives with non-reimbursable cooperation funds.

During three days of work, priority operations were identified jointly with government authorities in the areas of water, health, basic sanitation, production and road infrastructure.

The members of the mission which traveled to the country from CAF headquarters in Caracas were the vice president of Country Programs, Lilliana Canale; vice president of Infrastructure, Antonio Juan Sosa; vice president of Social and Environmental Development, José Carrera; and director of Governance and Technical Cooperation, Elvira Lupo.
