(Special, October 15, to 2008). A special prize was awarded to the Andean Development Corporation in the III Presentation of the ValenciaPort Foundation Prizes. The award recognizes the Corporation’s work in favor of the internationalization of the Guarantee Seal.

CAF President & CEO Enrique García thanked the Foundation for the special prize awarded by the jury. "We are convinced that a process of sustainable development depends, among other factors, on achieving high levels of international competitiveness, which is not possible if port services do not have the required quality." García added, “it is precisely by means of the Guarantee Mark that the provision of these services can be optimized."

The multilateral financial organization works in favor of the internationalization of the Guarantee Seal through the Latin American Port Quality Association, set up in April 2007 by CAF, the Guarantee Seal Foundation, a dependency of the Generalitat de Valencia, and Valenciaport Foundation.
