CAF wins the “Best SSA deal in the Americas” award

CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, won the  "Best SSA deal in the Americas" award, granted by The Banker for a "benchmark" issue placed in 2014 for EUR 750 million. 

The recognition highlights CAF's presence in the international capital markets, and the good relations with European investors.  

Another aspect considered by The Banker was the high quality of the orders book, with the participation of traditional investors from supranational entities which included central banks, agencies, and sovereign funds. The placement has a 7 year duration at a rate of 1.875 %. The banks that placed the issue included BBVA, Credit Agricole, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

The resources generated through its issue program, allow CAF to expand the financing facilities for Latin America, thus providing a greater boost to its comprehensive development agenda.
