For Latin America, the perception of how China is currently doing is important, as it reflects what the region's development could be like in coming years. The Asian country is an example of how to change and strengthen the economy.
Even though China is one of the main drivers of the world economy, Latin America has grown in the past fifteen years. Despite the fact that in the decade of the 70´s and 80´s there were painful economic processes for the region, macroeconomic policies have achieved good results.
The challenge for Latin America is to build a comprehensive, dynamic, and balanced relationship with China. For China, the task is to define a shared working agenda with Latin America.
