Discover the 8 winning startups of the CAF Financial Inclusion Lab 2024

After receiving more than 200 applications, the 8 winning startups that use artificial intelligence to promote the financial inclusion of vulnerable groups and MSMEs were selected. This call has achieved an increase in the number of applicants compared to the previous edition, highlighting a greater reach in countries such as El Salvador, Bolivia and Trinidad and Tobago.

  • PRAMI: Access to financial products in municipalities and rural areas through allied businesses in five industries: construction, agriculture, home, bicycles and auto parts.
  • Zimago: Platform that works with AI to promote an educational credit score that rewards learning, customized credit and a marketplace, thus promoting sustainable financial inclusion.
  • Kamina: An app that uses artificial intelligence to offer personalized recommendations, financial education and real-time support, helping people to make better financial decisions.
  • WËIA: Offers farm now, pay later (farm now, pay later) loans in kind so that farmers can buy their inputs at the time of planting and pay for them with the sale of their harvest.
  • Bolsiyo: Merchant OS designed to help Latin American merchants become sustainable. The platform facilitates operational and financial management, provides management training and connects the traditional channel with the industrial and financial sector, promoting its digitalization and bankarization.
  • Ábaco Technologies: Fintech that provides access to working capital for SMEs in Central America through performance-based lending, evaluating cash flows and invoices instead of fixed assets.
  • YoFio: Offers working capital to microenterprises in Mexico and the Dominican Republic through an AI model that analyzes store images and purchase receipts. Provides interest-free credit lines for inventories, adjusting terms according to financial performance.
  • Ximple: Platform that supports catalog sellers in Latin America by offering access to financing, facilitating the distribution of new product categories and simplifying their business management.

 

Benefits for the winners:

Google will give them USD 25,000 in credits for Google Cloud, as well as technical support for the implementation of their solution. This in the framework of the Google for Startups program.

Microsoft will offer consulting sessions for the development or scaling of its products and services with Artificial Intelligence, and workshops on the application of tools with Azure OpenAI and on the Microsoft for Startups program.

AWS will offer technical talks on artificial intelligence and on its program focused on support for startups.

Seedstars will provide an acceleration program tailored to the needs of each of the ventures. This program will run from January to May 2025.

Endeavor Colombia will initiate an investment readiness and matchmaking program, in which the winners that meet the selection criteria will be able to participate.

Agile Impacts will provide advice and support to define their theory of change and key impact indicators.
