Enrique Garcia and Anibal Gaviria analyze how to recreate the Medellin experience

Enrique Garcia, Executive President of CAF, held a meeting with the Mayor of Medellin, Anibal Gaviria, in the framework of his visit to grant the 2014 Innovators of America award. During the meeting, they discussed the need to promote best practices and actions that have been successful in other cities, and that can be implemented in the region. 

Garcia stated, "The Medellin model is one of the most successful in Latin America. Based on this, we analyzed different possibilities so CAF can approve the generation of spaces to exchange successful experiences". 

At the same time, Garcia and Gaviria analyzed diverse options to take advantage of the full potential of the Jose Maria Cordoba Airport in Medellin, so its surroundings may become logistic and commercial centers. 

"The airport is growing in terms of mobilization of passengers and cargo, so it is necessary to evaluate the different alternatives to develop it and take advantage of the commercial opportunities being generated", concluded Garcia.
