Enrique Garcia held a strategic dialogue with Latin American youths

CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, with the support of the George Washington University, held the Strategic Dialogue of Latin American Youths on September 5th 2014, in Washington, D.C.

The meeting included the participation of Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, and more than 30 Latin American youths with outstanding academic profiles that are registered in Master's and Doctoral studies in American universities.  

Enrique Garcia expressed, "This dialogue has helped to promote an intense and profound exchange of ideas regarding the main challenges they face to ensure sustainable growth and development in Latin America". 

During the meeting, the participants agreed to establish a contact network that will allow them to have a permanent connection in order to continue with the dynamics of this type of meeting, and present plans and initiatives to boost changes in the region.  

The Latin American students that participated in the activity come from diverse academic institutions such as Harvard University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, American University, Florida State University, University of Arizona, New York University, Columbia University, Maryland University, Washington University, The New School of New York, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

CAF foresees the development of other meetings such as this, in order to show the advances achieved, conduct follow-up to the development of new leaderships, and evaluate the proposals of the young students through a shared agenda that contributes to organize the efforts and actions developed in each member country.
