Enrique García meets with president-elect of Ecuador, Lucio Gutiérrez

The president-elect of Ecuador, Lucio Gutiérrez, and the CAF president, Enrique García, held a working meeting with the presence of the advisers of the incoming president.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, President-elect Gutiérrez thanked the CAF for the permanent support it has given to Ecuador, and for becoming his country’s principal ally. This is why, "we have given priority to this conversation," he added.

Garcia congratulated the Ecuadorian people on the transparency of their electoral process and reaffirmed that the CAF has the vocation, desire and commitment to continue supporting a strategy that puts Ecuador on the road to sustained and equitable high-quality growth, in a framework of employment and social stability. The CAF head also announced that during the next few weeks a specific action program would be established with the new administration for the next four years.
