Enrique García receives a distinction as Honorary Professor of the University of Buenos Aires

One of the most special moments of his official visit to Argentina was receiving the diploma and medal for his academic achievements and his contribution to the educational and social development of the region, among others

Enrique García, Executive President of CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, received the diploma and medal from the University of Buenos Aires due to his academic achievements, his contribution to the educational and social development of the region, and his personal and professional ethics, according to the Institution's President, Alberto Barbieri.

Barbieri added, "This is an illustrious professional, with merits that go beyond his curriculum; a moral and ethical trajectory that is an example for coming generations. His job and performance clearly show the essential objective of the region's development, placing himself at the disposal of the needs of the Latin American people. Men like him are the ones that make history".

When accepting the distinction, García pointed out, "It is an honor for me to receive this diploma from the University of Buenos Aires. I see the University working toward what is most important: look to the future and try to build a society in which the economic and political objectives are compatible with sustained growth".  

This event took place in the framework of the visit of CAF's Executive President to Argentina, which concluded with an agenda with a considerable number of meetings, with the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, María Eugenia Vidal; the Minister of Economy of the Province, Hernán Lacunza, the Minister of Infrastructure of the Province, Edgardo Cenzón, and the Chief of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, among others.
