Enrique García, CAF's Executive President, expressed his sincerest condolences for the death of Julio Sanjines Goytia in a letter to his family. "His legacy leaves a profound impression in the collective memory of all his close friends, who will remember him today, tomorrow, and always".
During his administration, the Institution was strengthened by making the Headquarters Agreement official, achieving the first sindicated loan in the international banking system, and by his incursion in the oil and agro-industrial sectors.
In 2010, during a homage in honor of Sanjines at CAF's 40th anniversary, Enrique Garcia highlighted his "strong commitment with the integration and development of member countries, reflected in a management that provided continuity to the institutional and administrative consolidation process".
