Global credit for private Peruvian companies

May 22, 1990

(Caracas, May 22, 1990).- Peruvian private companies will receive support from the US$40 million loan granted by CAF to the government of that country. The agreement was signed in Caracas by CAF President & CEO Galo Montaño and commercial attaché of the Peruvian embassy in Venezuela, Roberto Vélez Arce.

The loan was approved by the 62nd meeting of the CAF Board held in September 1989. The Peruvian Development Finance Corporation (COFIDE) will use this global credit to finance projects for export of manufactures and mining products by the private sector.

The funds will be used to import the equipment, machinery and services needed to increase and improve their production.
