The actions that improve social equity in the city are those that seek to improve public spaces so that everyone can enjoy them and help coexistence between its citizens. This idea comes from the study "

Another measure that is being implemented in Manhattan, which can also be seen in Caracas, are confined public parks. In the beginning, they were the result of an agreement with developers, who were given certain advantages for construction if in the lower part of the buildings under construction, they created open public spaces. These spaces complement larger areas which cities undoubtedly need, such as large squares or parks.

Sectors with informal settlements concentrate a large part of the city's population. In these areas it is important to create public spaces for the enjoyment of neighbors just as in the rest of the city.  In the case of the Municipality of Sucre, in Caracas, 46 new parks were built in new sectors such as La Dolorita or Caucagüita.

Still, it is not only plazas, parks, or confined spaces that help promote social equity and improvements in the quality of life. The possibility of moving within the city and between these public spaces is also important, so well conditioned streets are necessary. It is mobility  and movement that unites a city and allows everyone to coexist in it.
