The musical training program for children and youths was inaugurated in the city of ICA, in the framework of CAF's Music to Grow Program, in alliance with the Regional Government of ICA, and the organization Sinfonía por el Perú  (Symphony for Peru). This program will benefit more than 230 children and youths who were selected to start or continue their musical learning process in the region.

The Program materializes the Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement signed in 2015 by these three organizations, and represents a key action in the mission of promoting music as a tool for the comprehensive development of children and youths in the region. The inaugural ceremony included the presence of Fernando Cillóniz, Regional Governor of Ica, Miguel Molinari, Executive Director of Symphony for Peru, and Beatriz de Álvarez, Senior Executive at CAF.

Fernando Cillóniz stated, "As a result of the private volunteer work, as well as CAF's support through the Music to Grow Program and the Inter-institutional Agreement, and Symphony for Peru, lead by our renowned tenor Juan Diego Flórez, we expect to provide the opportunity for children to play an instrument, perfect their voices, and show their art". This initiative shows the joint work conducted by different social actors who, through their will and resources, provide a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children.

Through music, the program seeks to instill values and tools in the participating children and youths to help their social development and enable them to access new and better opportunities for their lives. The learning process also involves their parents and different members of society. The inauguration of the program in Ica seeks a comprehensive improvement of the community at large.
