Rendezvous with Latin American cinema in CAF

(Caracas, February 3, 2000). – With the projection of the Colombian film La Estrategia del Caracol, CAF opens on February 8 at 7 PM its Cycle of Latin American Cinema “Shared Visions,” which starts the artistic-cultural activities program of the events for the 30th anniversary of this international financial institution.

La Estrategia del Caracol is a real-life story which Colombian director Sergio Cabrera converts into a perfectly constructed film.

The film will be presented by Colombian ambassador in Caracas Luis Guillermo Giraldo Hurtado. The event will also be attended by Venezuelan director Alejandro Saderman, author of the film Cien años de Perdón, and high-level authorities of CAF.

The Cycle of Latin American Cinema will be projected throughout the year and contains a sample of the film production from our countries characterized by great aesthetic value.

As sponsors of this cycle, CAF is joined by the National Autonomous Cinematographic Center (CNAC), CELARG Foundation, National Cinemateca, and the film institutes and embassies of the participating countries.
