Run for a heart under the slogan "La Paz challenges you"

When presenting the sixth edition of the La Paz 3,600 10K race, Emilio Uquilla, Director Representative of CAF, Development Bank of Latin America in Bolivia, stated that "On November 9th, at 8:00 A.M., starting at the Plaza Villaroel, we will change from competing to sharing, and we will run to support the care of Bolivian children with heart disease ".  

The race, organized by the financial institution and the Gobierno Autonomo Municipal de La Paz (GAMLP) (Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz), will provide the opportunity to show solidarity and support a good cause to the inhabitants of La Paz through their participation, as por each registered runner, CAF will donate one Dollar to the Bolivia Solidaria Foundation of the BISA Financial Group, which this year is supporting the treatment and care of children with congenital heart problems. 

Emilio Uquillas stated that "The award for each athlete is to be a part of something important, such as saving lives, to give an opportunity for children to grow and be able to become respectable men and women in the future". 

As in previous years, the first 3,600 competitors to register will receive the official t-shirt and a commemorative medal, and there will be special drinks for athletes when they cross the finish line. In addition, water and animation will be provided at each kilometer. 

Another novelty which stands out in this version of the La Paz 3,600 10K race is that the distribution of the runner kit will take place in a fair to be held two days prior to the competition, where the runners will have access to detailed information regarding sports products from the sponsors. Special mechanisms will be available in this fair, supplied by Banco Bisa, so that people who want may contibute to the cause "Run for a Heart". 

The main sponsors of the race are the BISA Financial Group,  Hidrata Powerade, and Nutre Cereal Mix from Princesa. The allies are AGB, VIVA, Imagenbol and New Balance; the Drogueria INTI, Gimnasio GO and La Paz Bus support the initiative. 

Registration

Registration will be open from September 4th until November 5th, and may be done on line through the www.lapaz3600-10k.com portal, or in the following places, showing the identity card: 

• CAF (Av. Arce N°2915 corner of Clavijo, San Jorge area)
• RaceStore (C. Ferrecio N°1295, Telleria gallery, first floor, office 103, San Miguel - in front of the Vainilla coffee house). 
• Banco BISA (main office, El Prado and San Miguel, Megacenter, and El Alto branches)
• Experiencia VIVA stores at a national level, free internet is provided to register on line. 
• Direccion Municipal de Deportes (Municipal Direction of Sports) (Av. Mcal. Santa Cruz corner of Colombia,  Municipal Technical building, 11th floor). 

Sports fans in Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, and Sucre, who wish to take on the challenge, may register at the branches of Banco Bisa in El Prado (CBBA), Av. Monseñor Rivero corner of Santa Fe (SCZ) and San Alberto street, corner of  España (SCR).
