(Caracas, July 25, 2013).-A selection of masterpieces in the plastic arts genre from Ibero-American artists from the Universidad Simón Bolivar (USB) Art Collection will be available in the gallery of the Caracas-based CAF-Development Bank of Latin America- for the coming months. The exhibition will include various examples of contemporary art provided by international talent as part of a broader CAF effort to showcase influential movements in the art world.

CAF Executive President Enrique García hosted a recent presentation to announce the display, highlighting that "both institutions adhere to the same principle that human development serves as a critical factor to a stronger society and to contribute to regional progress as well as narrow income gaps created by development." García also expressed his gratitude at the generosity and trust the university placed in CAF by lending the multilateral institution its priceless works of art.

Meanwhile, USB dean Enrique Planchart stressed that the university's art collection was created to initially house Latin American colonial art "with a view to facilitate and encompass all genres of visual arts that often complement scientific and technical training for our students." Support for the collection comes from the Blanca Álvarez Foundation.
