The art of painter Karine Boulanger in Artespacio CAF

December 03, 2010

(La Paz, December 3, 2010).- A magical luminosity fused with a mysterious atmosphere in the objects painted is reflected in the works of the celebrated Bolivian-French artist Karine Boulanger, which are now on show in Artespacio CAF under the title "Contigo."

The art - worked with gold, aluminum and copper leaf - exhibits luxuriant trees, some without leaves, doves, sheep and others; imaginarily transporting visitors to ancient and fictitious epochs, a trip in time which takes us to places inhabited by wizards and fairies.

Boulanger began painting at age 23 guided by the Bolivian painter Gonzalo Rodríguez. Later in Paris (France), she entered the National School of Fine Arts with the renowned Italian artist Leonardo Cremonini as her teacher, who encouraged the tendency of her works in the New Figuration of Italian painting.

These paintings - inspired in distance, future and hope - are on show until the 22nd of this month at Artespacio CAF, Av. Arce No. 2915 esquina Clavijo (San Jorge) 8:30 to 12:30 and 14:30 to 18:00. Admission is free.
