The call for CAF's Financial Inclusion Lab is now open

  • The 11 winning startups will be part of the acceleration programs of Google for Startups, Endeavor or Seedstars, which will begin in January 2021 for a period of 3 months. 
  • All proposals will be eligible for financing from the main private banks and investment funds in Latin America and the Caribbean (see listing below).

Applications are now being accepted for the CAF’s Financial Inclusion Lab (LIF), organized by CAF -Development Bank of Latin America- in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre (TTIFC).

The LIF 2020 brings together both the public and private sectors, alongside investors and entrepreneurs to promote business opportunities, and to provide concrete solutions on financial inclusion. It is also designed to promote the generation of technological solutions that help to solve public and private sector needs derived from the crisis generated by Covid-19 in the areas of:

  • Financial inclusion of vulnerable groups
  • Financial inclusion with an impact on SMEs’ productivity

Among the participating institutions providing mentorship and guidance for this year’s 11 Best proposals in Latin America and the Caribbean are Google for Startups, Seedstars and Endeavor.

Financing and acceleration

The startups that send their proposals to the LIF 2020 (click here for the application form) will have a wide variety of financing and acceleration opportunities:

  • The 11 winning startups will be part of the acceleration programs of Google for Startups, Endeavor or Seedstars, which will begin in January 2021 for a period of 3 months.
  • All proposals will be eligible for financing from the main private banks and investment funds in Latin America and the Caribbean (see listing below).
