(Mexico City, June 19th, 2015). The annual regional Conference "Infrastructure in the Development of Latin America" will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 23rd and 24th, organized by CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and Nacional Financiera (NAFIN) at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Mexico City.
The event's goal is to discuss priority actions in the public and private spheres to make it possible, from the sector, to leverage growth in the countries.
New trends regarding infrastructure, logistics, energy, telecommunications, water, basic sanitation, and urban development in the region will be analyzed based on the conclusions of the IDEAL "Infrastructure in the Development of Latin America" Report, edited annually by CAF.
The inaugural session will be in charge of Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, Jacques Rogozinski, General Director of NAFIN, and Luis Videgaray, Secretary of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico.
CAF's presence in financing some of the most important infrastructure projects in the region has been accompanied by a research effort and generation of knowledge to identify the needs and challenges of the region, and to place the infrastructure sector as one of the pillars of social progress, economic growth, and sustainable development in Latin America.
The meeting will be transmitted live via livestreaming, and may be followed in the social networks with hashtag #IDEAL2015.
