US$50 million loan approved for La Pampilla refinery

The funds will finance operational and environmental improvements at the refinery

(Lima, January 28, 2010).- CAF - Latin American development bank - approved a US$50 million medium-term loan in favor of La Pampilla refinery, which refines crude oil and produces, stores, markets, transports and distributes hydrocarbon products.

The funds will be used to finance operations and general investments, including capital investments and preliminary studies for the new specifications for fuel and others for capital investments involving operational and environmental improvements.

"The granting of this facility reaffirms our commercial relations with the Repsol Group and the possibility of providing financing in the future for its productive investments," CAF director representative in Peru Eleonora Silva said.

La Refinería Pampilla SA is a company of the Repsol YPF Group, one of world's most important private oil and gas companies. La Pampilla is the largest refinery in the Peruvian market with a capacity of around 50% of national production.
