CAF will reach 35% green financing in 2024

As part of the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the commemoration of 184 years of the independence of Peru, CAF and the Embassy of the Republic of Peru will jointly present on July 27 Sasha Ferreira and Marina Pavlovna in concert in the Antonio José de Sucre auditorium in the CAF headquarters.
The concert will be the perfect venue for performing a select repertoire of the finest musical works of universal content and Andean melodies, with masterly interpretations by two talented musicians with international reputations.
The event is one of the many offerings organized by the CAF Cultural y Community Development Department to contribute to the development and integrated training of human beings through music, and exalt and support national and regional talent.
CAF President & CEO Enrique García said that “culture as creative expression of peoples is part of the CAF mission, confirming its commitment to sustainable development and integration.”
The program has two parts. The first starts with Chacona Tropical of Guido López Gavilán, and Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso of Camile Saint-Saens, concluding with Aires Gitanos of Pablo de Sarasate, and other intermediate pieces. The second part includes Danzas Populares Andinas of Celso Garrido Lecca; Cantos del Peru La Siembra / La Ñusta of André Sas; Dolor del Indio of Carlos Valderrama, and Danza Peruana of Armando Guevara Ochoa, among other musical pieces.
From Ukraine for the world
Sasha Ferreira was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She studied music at the Manuel Saumell School, Havana, Cuba, obtaining various prizes from the Provincial and National “Amadeo Roldán” Competition and the Best Interpretation of Cuban Music. In 1997 she received her degree from the National Conservatory of Music of Lima, Peru.
Since then, Sasha has performed as violin soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Music, among others. She has been soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Portuguesa and Nueva Esparta States (Venezuela), the Florida Chamber Orchestra (United States) and the Colombian Symphony Orchestra, and has given recitals in Cuba, Peru and Chile. She currently teaches at Markham Collage, Lima, and has published a CD of Peruvian music Con su toque de violin.
Her partner, Marina Pavlovna graduated in piano in Odessa, Ukraine. Her professional career has developed in classic music as soloist, accompanying pianist, member of chamber ensembles and as teacher in Russia, Cuba and Peru.
Apart from her musical talent, in 1970 Marina began research on the professional illnesses of instrumentalists. In 2001 she published a book on the subject which had an international impact. She currently teaches at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, Peru.
