Visit of Venezuelan-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

May 07, 1992

(Caracas, May 7, 1992).- Directors of the Venezuelan-Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry made a courtesy visit to CAF on May 6. The delegation was headed by Felipe Casanova, president of the Chamber and of Grupo Consolidado, one of the most important and active private consortia in Venezuela.

The creation of this Chamber was promoted by CAF in Caracas and Quito as a means of intensifying trade and industrial integration; strengthening bilateral economic relations through participation of the business sector in activities which increase the flow of trade, and promotion of joint actions in the productive and service areas.

CAF is also working to have all the bilateral chambers of Venezuela with the countries of the Andean Group operating in the future from a single center located in Caracas in a building acquired by the World Trade Center, and equipped with an automated information station.

With these actions, CAF is actively backing Latin American integration initiatives, creating a climate of confidence and active exchange between the business sectors of the member countries.
