Carranza Ugarte will talk about the opportunities offered by his country to the business leaders from the most important Spanish companies at a meeting organized by the Andean Development Corporation and the Spanish Official Credit Institute (ICO).
The minister’s presentation to the Spanish business sector will be chaired by CAF representative director in Madrid Germán Jaramillo, who said that large Spanish companies had shown great interest in participating, particularly in relation to the infrastructure area.
"Peru is going through a good period in its economy and the meeting is expected to generate a high level of interest. Peru is a very attractive country for European investments, particularly Spanish considering the traditional relations between the two nations," the CAF representative said.
Many representatives of Iberian companies have confirmed their attendance, some of them already established in the country and others very interested in doing so in the near future, he added.
CAF opened its office in Madrid last November with the objective of reinforcing the presence of the multilateral organization in Europe, deepening relations with Spain, and strengthening connections with other countries of the continent, especially members of the European Union.
