Presentation of the Latin America and the Caribbean Region Brand
As part of this event, which will be organized in collaboration with UN Tourism, CAF will present the Latin America and the Caribbean Region Brand, an initiative that will help the region have a more unified, influential and recognizable presence on the international scene, which will help promote investment, encourage tourism and enhance its projection as a solution region.

Representatives of private enterprise and the cultural sector, as well as government authorities from Brazil and other countries in the region will participate in the two panels of this event, which will focus on the one hand, on the competitive advantages of Latin America and the Caribbean as a tourist and investment destination, and on the other, on the opportunities generated by the cultural diversity of our countries for the region to have a unique identity, and the potential of creative industries to boost the growth of economies.
After the discussion sessions, the selected proposal for the Latin America and the Caribbean Region Brand will be presented, which will be the image that will represent the region in international scenarios and world-class events. It will also act as a vehicle to promote alliances and develop initiatives that will boost the growth of our countries and contribute to the region having a more relevant place in the global arena.
During this meeting, artist Tere Chad's NeoNorte 5.0 cultural project will also be presented, which invites us to reimagine the cultural values of the South that we want to export to the world.

Sergio Díaz-Granados has extensive experience in public and private service, both nationally and internationally, with special emphasis on regional development and integration issues. Before assuming the presidency of CAF, he served as Executive Director for Colombia at the Inter-American Development Bank. He previously held the positions of Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, Vice Minister of Business Development and President of the Boards of Directors of Bancóldex and ProColombia. He also has been a congressman and chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Colombia’s House of Representatives.

Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, he currently serves as regional director for the Americas at the World Tourism Organization and president of the Fundación Pensar Córdoba. He was Minister and Government Secretary of Tourism of the Republic of Argentina (2015-2019), president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency and national deputy where he was chairman of the Tourism Committee and was part of the Commissions of Economy, Science, Technology and Productive Innovation, Transport, Culture and MERCOSUR.

He is a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and holds a degree in “History of Italian Art” and “Italian Literature” from the Italian Institute of Culture. He received the Arruda Alvim Award in Civil Procedural Law and an Honorary Doctorate in Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul - UMFS. He was president of the Association of Friends of the Museum of Contemporary Art (AAMAC) of the University of São Paulo (USP). He was also president of the Institute of Contemporary Art (IAC) of São Paulo and of the Brazilian Institute of Museums (IBRAM). Founding member and former president of the Alfredo Volpi Institute of Modern Art.

He is an entrepreneur, photographer and cultural manager, member of the boards of trustees of Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, Pinacoteca, MASP and Instituto Cultura Inglesa. He is a member of the Advisory Board of APAC - Associação Pinacoteca Arte e Cultura de la Pinacoteca de São Paulo. Tere Chad
Artist and curator of NeoNorte 5.0
She is a Chilean artist focused on sustainability and the promotion of Latin American art and culture abroad. She graduated in 2020 with an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London, and in 2018 with an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She has had eight solo exhibitions, completed seven residencies and participated in over 60 group exhibitions on four different continents. She has curated over 20 international exhibitions leading groups of over 70 people and in 2021 was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors.

She is currently the Executive Director of Fundación Imagen de Chile. She is a journalist graduated from the Universidad de Chile and has studied History of Economics at the University of Uppsala, Sweden, and in Creative Writing from the Universidad Diego Portales, Chile. She has been awarded the José Martí Latin American Journalism Award. She is an expert in corporate and political communications, and has served as press advisor to former Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and press officer during his presidential candidacy, communications advisor to the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and manager of Corporate Affairs for EVoting Global, among others.
Estefanía Laterza

Currently serves as the CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean - representative in Brazil. She is a career ambassador of the Paraguayan foreign service, with 25 years of experience in international relations management.
