Executive Vice Presidency

Develops tasks of supervision, coordination, and management of activities in all areas of the Institution—operational, financial, advisory, and administrative—to assist the Executive President in general management, corporate and budgetary planning, and streamlining business support processes. In the president's absence, he substitutes for him in all his duties.

Gianpiero Leoncini

He has had an outstanding performance at CAF during the last 14 years, in which he held the positions of Principal Executive and Senior Executive in the area of Secretariat and External Relations; Director of Secretariat and External Relations; CAF Representative in Trinidad and Tobago; and Advisor to the Executive Vice President.

Before joining CAF, he held important positions as Chief of Staff of the Secretary-General and as Official of the General Directorate of Political and Social Affairs in the General Secretariat of the Andean Community.

He has a degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the National School of Administration (ENA), France.
