General Audit
The General Auditor's Office ensures the protection of CAF's assets and interests, through verification of the existence, dissemination, and compliance with the regulations. Likewise, it is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of the processes and for generating recommendations aimed at improving them.

Ivan Haas
Senior Director General Audit
He has served as Vice Minister of Economy of the Ministry of Finance of Paraguay. He has represented the Republic of Paraguay at different international organizations. He has also served as Director of Debt Policy; Head of the Financial Instruments Department of the Debt Policy Directorate; Member of the Internal Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Paraguay; and Technical Analyst of Public Debt of the Debt Policy Directorate. Throughout his career, he managed to consolidate operations in the domestic Treasury bond market, led the issuance of sovereign bonds in the international market, and acquired strong experience in the operation of Multilateral Organizations.
Currently, at CAF, he advises Senior Management on relevant audit issues, focusing on risk management, governance, and control. He has actively participated in different committees, where opinions are required on matters related to auditing and internal control.
He has a degree in Economics from the National University of Asunción. He has a Master's Degree in Finance from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is Certified as an Internal Auditor (CIA) by the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has carried out complementary studies on public debt, financial programming, and fiscal sustainability.
