The main mission of the Vice Presidency of Finance is to guarantee the continuity of CAF's operations, even in situations of adversity or crisis, providing uninterrupted resources for loan disbursements and for the timely payment of its obligations. Likewise, efficiently capture and manage financial resources obtained from several sources, in a competitive, flexible, and innovative framework.

Biography Gabriel Felpeto

Gabriel Felpeto

Since joining CAF, more than 28 years ago, Gabriel Felpeto has carried out a successful management, holding the positions of Senior Executive in the Vice Presidency of Finance, Director of Financial Policies and International Issuances, and Vice President of Finance.

Before joining CAF, his experience stood out at Banco Unión in Caracas, Venezuela – his country of origin – where he was Asset and Liability Management Manager and Vice President of Finance. He also held the position of Project Engineer at Ingeniería Avellán.

Gabriel has a solid academic background and an extensive professional career with more than 30 years of experience. He is a Mechanical Engineer from the Simón Bolívar University, Caracas, and has a Master's Degree in Administration, with a mention in Finance from the Institute of Higher Administration Studies (IESA), Caracas.
