Call for research proposals on Health and Social Inclusion in Latin America
Convocation from January 10 to February 15, 2017
CAF calls to present research proposals that contribute to the study of health as a promoter of social inclusion in Latin America
CAF -Development Bank of Latin America- is inviting researchers to submit research proposals addressing a wide range of health-related issues, with an emphasis on the connection between health and social inclusion. Both empirical and theoretical contributions are welcome. A list of proposed topics is:
- public health,
- health prevention,
- health related behaviors,
- mental health,
- insurers'/providers' competition and choice,
- mixed private-public health care systems,
- market regulation and incentives,
- human resources,
- national, social and private insurance,
- risk adjustment,
- high cost drugs,
- long term care,
- policy evaluation and assessment.
Although suggestive, this list is not exhaustive and any other well posed question of relevance for Latin America will also be considered.
Proposals should be sent to investigacion@caf.com until February 15. The authors of the proposals selected will be notified about February 25, and will have until June 30 to send the first draft.
A maximum of three research proposals will be funded, and each one will receive USD 15.000. The authors of the two best proposals are expected to present their results in the workshop"Frontiers of Health Economics Research in Latin America", that will be held in Boston.
