Creating Business Opportunities by Conceptualizing New Products and Patenting Strategies

General Objective

To identify and develop business opportunities based on the creation of new products that could be subject to intellectual property protection. The workshop is designed following the CAF Method for Accelerated Patent Development.

Specific Objectives

1. To identify organizations’ business opportunities
2. To conceptualize and develop solutions to leverage business opportunities
3. To determine the state of the art (prior art) of the solutions proposed
4. To draft the technological concept of viable solutions
5. To strengthen the intellectual property strategy of participating organizations

Duration

The workshop will have a total duration of 16 hours divided into 6 sessions. After the workshop, participants will be able to access 8 hours of consulting and mentoring by the team of innovation experts of Grupo CEIIC, in order to consolidate the results of the workshop and strengthen its their strategy.

Features

1. The workshop will be taught on an online platform, with the participation of CAF experts.
2. It will take place from August 9 to 20, 2021
3. Sessions will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
4. Each participating organization shall participate with a group of three or four associates, representatives of the different areas or roles of the organization (Engineering, Production, Sales, Quality, or some other area related to product development), who will work together during the program
5. The organization must provide the necessary facilities to ensure the successful participation of the team.
6. In order to safeguard the information of each company, each organization will have its own virtual room.
7. Each team will have a facilitator to guide them through all the sessions
8. In order to ensure proper attention to all members, the number of participants is limited.
   
   

Expected Results

At the end of the program, the staff of the participating organizations shall have prepared the following:

1. Report of identified business opportunities
2. Report of the search for the state of the art of solutions proposed
3. Technological Concept of viable solutions
   
   

Cost

MXN 25,000.00 per company, VAT included
